Jujutsu Kaisen Product Review – Nobara Kugisaki and Megumi Fushiguro Lookup Figures by Megahouse

They’re here, they’re finally here! Lookup figures of Nobara and Itadori by Megahouse. First we’ll unbox them (October 29th, 2021), and then take them for a walk in a couple of parks, to see how well they pose and find out if they’re as easy to carry around as the other previous Gojo and Itadori Lookup figures.

届いた〜！！届きましたよ、るかっぷ！なんと可愛い? かわゆーい? もう、メロメロ? 野薔薇ちゃんの髪が耳にかけられて可愛すぎ❤️ めぐみんの真面目な表情も愛くるしい? あああ、早く色んなところに連れて行きたいです? そこで、ある日天気がよかったので野薔薇ちゃんとめぐみんは港の見える丘公園でお散歩に行きました。ここからはガンダムも見えますがスマホですとめちゃくちゃ小さく映るので投稿しませんでした? 次に、山下公園でお散歩。この公園は何度来ても飽きない。旅の友として持ち運びやすくてポーズさせやすいるかっぷでした。

First Look – Pretty Box

Aren’t they super duper adorable? They’re so cute I’m going all ‘kyaaaa’ like a madwoman. Nobara has her hair tucked behind one ear and it’s just so aww shucks cute. Megumi looks as if he wants to cry and I’m all baaabbbyyyyy! 

The box itself is quite pretty. I love the windows in the front, top and sides, with die-cut versions of the figures in their cutest poses.

You can see how spiky Megumi’s hair is! Nobara, on the other hand, has smooth hair in a lovely shade of brown.

Compared to the, say, Kimetsu no Yaiba Lookups that have wonderfully colourful and bright customes, the JJK characters look really plain xD

Of the four current Jujutsu Kaisen Lookup figures, Megumi has the largest head, while Nobara has the smallest.

Now let’s take them outdoors!

At Harbor View Park in Yokohama

Yesterday the weather was lovely, so Nobara and Megumi went for a walk in the Minato-no-Mieru-Oka Park❤️?

This is one of my favourite parks in Yokohama, where you can get panoramic views of the bay as well as distant sightings of Tokyo Skytree, weather permitting?.

A must-visit when in Yokohama, Yamashita Park faces the bay and is a great favourite amongst locals. Will never get tired of sitting on a bench and gazing at the sea ? 

The ship is called Hikawa-maru, the only pre-WW2 ship still in working condition. It had a former life as a hospital ship and then a cargo passenger ship. It’s now being exhibited at the bay for educational purposes.

Super Portable and Practical Lookup Figures

That’s it for our first look at Megumi and Nobara’s Lookup Figures as they travel around Japan. I’ve reviewed the Satoru Gojo and Yuji Itadori Lookup figures in a previous article – my conclusion stands: these figures are really easy to carry around and position; they work beautifully as travel companions. 

Megumi’s hair is super big, though, and a bit sharp-ish at the edges. He’s got the biggest head amongst the group, so special care needs to be taken not to be pricked by his somewhat thorny hair-do!

Nobara is the easiest to carry, her head being small and hair smooth. She can easily fit into a coat pocket!

Most manga/anime specialty stores carry these figures, including pre-owned (but unopened) ones at very reasonable prices. As of this writing, I’ve seen pre-owned products at nearly half the price of new ones. If you live overseas, you can import them from Japan.
