This Jujutsu Kaisen x Coco’s restaurant collaboration event ended on November 28, 2021 (Gaaah! Late again in posting, sorry!) but I thought I’d still upload the pics and add product info. The collab merch – file folders, acrylic figures, etcetera – are really cute and still available via resellers, so this post is for those interested in having a (virtual) peek at the specially-decorated store as well as getting a hold of Coco’s official JJK merchandise.
Coco’s Restaurant Nakano
Final day of the campaign was just a day away, so I found myself hurrying over to the Nakano branch of the restaurant. Coco’s is a large chain but this place is the only one with JJK interior decor. There might not be other collab events like this one again, I thought I might as well go, was what I told myself.

Our babies were super cute, and made the place look really bright and fun!
A Bright and Colourful Welcome
Large, colourful posters on the wall and banners in front of the store can be seen from a far distance. So nice to see our cuties giving customers this bright welcome.

Next to the store sign was a giant banner of our main trio. On the bay window by the door was the group poster for the event.

Entrance Cuties
The waiting area has another poster, this time with all seven characters on the same level, the copy saying 「お腹いっぱい!呪力いっぱい!」(“Full bellies, max cursed energy!”).

Panda’s huge white belly takes up a lot of space! I like that they’re trying to show the gang in scale (at least in relation to each other), but I think Toge should be smaller and Gojo taller 🙂
A life-sized panel of Gojo and Itadori stood at the entrance, ready for anyone to take a photo op.

I can imagine our beloved sensei proudly showing off the long receipt for which he has paid everyone’s share, while Yuji points to himself with a “You paid for mine, too? Thanks!” because he’s such a sweet boy.
A poster of Megumi and Toge says 「会話は控えめに」(“Talk as little as possible”), a pandemic-related PSA. I totally love that it’s these two they chose for this notice, since they’re the ones amongst the gang who chatter the least. Just goes to show the campaign peeps aren’t just randomly picking out characters, but actually know what they’re like in the manga/anime.
Cuties Cuties Everywhere
Let’s take a look at what’s inside the restaurant!
On one side there’s a row of our trio+sensei headshots, above which hangs a banner with everyone in it.

Here’s another shot of them in pairs, just because! Megumi and Gojo-sensei to the left.

Yuji and Nobara to the right. When I arrange my figures of the four, I usually put Gojo to the far left, so that the trio can be next to each other. But looking at this lineup, it does make sense that Megumi stands behind his teacher, frowning at his antics. These two have known each other for a long time, and their unique relationship can be seen in this arrangement.

Nobara and Yuji, on the other hand, came to the school at around the same time and have fought together like a well-oiled machine, so it really does make sense that they’re always next to each other in promos.
Full-Body Posters
Walk around some more and we see the full-body posters. Wait, Gojo’s feet are covered by that stupid chair. Should’ve moved it, my bad!

Another take, this time with all their feet showing. Who has the nicest shoes? Maki, of course! Want them ankle boots for myself! 😀

Drink-All-You-Can
For only JPY 264 (as of this writing) you can avail of Coco’s drink bar, which has pretty much everything except alcoholic beverages. If you download the official app and create an account, there’s even a drink bar coupon, so it’s basically free!

Atop the machines is a banner of our babies, this time with Nanami in the mix! Don’t you just love the pairings? Yuji and Megumi, followed by Maki and Nobara, then Gojo-sensei and Nanamin, and certainly last but not the least, Toge and Panda. They’re all so very shippable (except for the last one because, while the two are close, Panda is technically a doll of some sort …)

Next to the drink bar is a poster with some of the iconic moments in the anime.

Awwwwww! Every scene is full of memories! Wanna go take a trip down memory lane? No? Ah, okay! xD
Chibi Versions Cuteness Overload
They’re not just about looking hot, they’re all about looking cute. These chibi or deforme versions are too adorable.

Maki with a knife (how so very Maki, she’ll slice you in half if you get in her way, oh yes she will!), Toge with chopsticks (makes sense since he seems to like Japanese food), Panda on a plate, Gojo-sensei with a teaspoon, Yuji using a spoon as a slide, Megumi next to a cup of coffee (black, for sure!) and Nobara with a fork (how so very Nobara, prepared to stab curses with it, or you if you’re misbehaving!)
Posters from All Angles
There were posters of the themed food on the walls, so that wherever you’re seated, they’re always within your line of sight. Paradise for JJK fans!

Perfect Seating
We asked for a window seat and got a place right next to the wainscoting featuring headshots of the sophomores! Awwwwwwww! What a lovely table, love these three, they look amazing.

Neither I nor my friend was hungry, and we’ve already eaten the themed meals from the first part of the campaign, as well as those from the second part. So we ordered two plates of food from the regular menu that was still part of the campaign. For every order you get a random giveaway file folder, and you can see two of them in the pic above.
Coco’s Folder Giveaway
Guess what? We open the packaging and found… our queen Maki Zen’in and the secret design marked ‘Special.’ Turned out to be a group design!

Love them both so much, especially since I didn’t get all of the characters during my two previous outings.

This group folder has everyone in it and just made going to Nakano worthwhile. I’m going to frame this one for sure!

Paying Up
At the counter was a poster of Gojo-sensei with a loooong receipt! The copy says there’s an online raffle draw with special prizes for lucky winners. We didn’t win in the previous two outings, and not this final time, either, so I’ve nothing to show you. Too bad!

But it was still a fun event, and I’m glad I went. Of all the anime/manga collabs, food-related ones are my fave!
Coco’s x Jujutsu Kaisen Official Merchandise
Every Coco’s restaurant sells collab merch – acrylic stands and coasters – with the character designs same as the ones in the file folders. The acrylic stands are in opaque packages so you’ll need luck in picking your fave character when buying at the restaurant.

For those overseas, you can buy these (along with the giveaway file folders) from sellers at the Japanese online flea markets or specialty shops.

- PayPay Fleama’s Jujutsu Kaisen x Coco’s listing
- Suruga-ya’s Jujutsu Kaisen x Coco’s listing
- Lashinbang’s Jujutsu Kaisen x Coco’s listing
The good thing about availing of pre-owned ‘blind-packaged’ merch – regardless of where you live – is that you can choose exactly who to get. Some of the sellers here get a character more than once, or end up with a character they don’t care for, so they sell them at a reasonable price. One person’s trash is another’s treasure!
