A fanfic continuation of the conversation between Eren and Historia at the farm, as seen via flashback in Chapter 130 of the manga.
I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of Historia’s baby being fathered by someone other than the farmhand. In my review of Chapter 130 I talked about wanting Eren to be the father. Nothing would make me happier than the holder of the Attack Titan finding love in the arms of the Queen, before he goes on to destroy the rest of humankind.
It would make so much sense from a family viewpoint. What else would drive a good man to destroy the whole world and lose his humanity in the process, if not a wife and child needing his protection? However B-grade movie it might sound, the concept of a father giving up everything to save his family is a true classic. As old as time, it makes perfect sense from an evolutionary perspective as well as an emotional one.
It’s something I can empathise with. It’s something many of us would understand.
How I wish this were the case in canon! But knowing Isayama, aka Heartbreak King, this is probably not what’s going to happen. Maybe he’s just leading us on so that he could break our erehisu hearts in the end. How terrible would that be? Too terrible to speak of.
To comfort my anxious self, I turn to fanfiction. I can’t do anything about Isayama’s story, but I can do something about the story in my head.
