I’ve lost my mind. Yeah, I’ve completely lost it, whatever bits of it I had in the first place. How do you get someone who doesn’t even like energy drinks to buy a 3-month supply without hesitation?
Add a Jujutsu Kaisen giveaway, that’s how.
Remember the ending song of the first half of Season 1 of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime?
I love the song and the visuals so much that when I learned Alinamin had a Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration, I fired up the engine after a work-from-home day and drove straight to my nearest drugstore.
Lost in Energy Drink Paradise
This is what I got:

Can you believe it? Eight boxes of energy drinks! EIGHT! With ten 50ml bottles per box, that’s a total of eighty bottles. OMFG! I don’t even drink this stuff! It’s expensive and I don’t like the cloyingly sweet taste! No, I’m not an energy drink drinker, and never planned to be. I’ve always been a coffee person. Everyday I chug down black coffee as though my life depended on it. Why would I need energy drinks when there’s coffee to keep me alive?
I sent the pic to an energy drink-drinking colleague.
Me: Help. Went nuts.
Him: Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Me: Not funny.
Him: Lipovitan tastes better tho
Me: Lipovitan *did not* collaborate with Jujutsu Kaisen.
So, corporate marketers, I guess you’ve figured out how to make people like me buy your products by the truck load: slap a Jujutsu Kaisen giveaway on them.
Cool Contemporary Illustrations
Each box of Alinamin energy drink comes with one square microfibre cloth. Yeah, that one used for wiping screens and other glass stuff. There were eight designs in all:

Ugh! The art is amazing. I love colored line art like these. In my opinion, it really shows off the skill of the artist, that is, the way they can make characters come alive with just a few strokes of the pen (and colored pens for this particular project).

The colourful yet minimalist look is a total standout. I think it’s illustration at its finest, and when animated along with that ALI song everything looks beyond amazing. I’m a sucker for these kinds of stuff.

Needless to say, I doubt I’ll use any of the cloth for actually wiping stuff. Using images of my favourite characters to clean up dirt? Nah, not gonna happen. I think I’ll frame them! Each one is an 18cm square, so I’ll have to find a mighty big frame for all of them to fit in. Hmm…
Alinamin Raffle Draw
On to the real meat of the collaboration. The microfibre cloth is just the carrot dangled in front of donkeys like me. Serious donkeys who want the real prizes have to take a photo of the receipts and join a raffle. Aaargh! I hate raffle draws because I hardly ever win. Who actually wins these things anyway? They must’ve been born under a lucky star. The star I was born under? I’m pretty sure it’s a cursed star, the one where Murphy’s Law is constantly at work.
There are two types of raffles: the Drinks Course and the Tablets Course. I didn’t buy any supplement tablets so I’ll pass explaining that one. For the drinks, you have to buy Alinamin products by the bottle or pouch. Click here to see the prizes. One bottle qualifies you to enter the raffle for a Yuji Itadori Thermos bottle. Three bottles qualify for one Satoru Gojo glass, the kind that changes colours when you pour in a cold beverage. Ten bottles lets you have a go at the set of four porcelain saucers, the ones for eating peanuts and stuff.
Design-wise, my favourite is the saucer set. But I’d have some real use for the Yuji water bottle since the current one I have is old and chipped. As for the Gojo glass, well, my cupboard is overflowing with mugs and cups and glasses and other drinkware. I certainly don’t need another glass, but will take the Gojo one for Instagram purposes, ahaha!
Be the Lucky One
Since I purchased eighty bottles in all, plus three energy jelly drinks, that qualifies me for all of the above more than once. I’ll aim for the saucers and the water bottle, but also throw my hat in for a couple of Gojo glasses.

There are two ways to join the raffle: by postcard (shown above) or via the LINE messaging app. For the former you have to paste your receipt on the postcard (who says these won’t fall off???), and for the latter you need to take a pic of the receipts. I really don’t like the idea of pasting receipts on postcards (I’ve nightmares of them peeling off) so I’ll join via LINE, which, by the way, is the most popular messaging app in Japan.
The first raffle draw’s deadline is on May 31st, while the second draw is until June 30th. Best of luck to me and you!
Now excuse me while I gulp down a bottle of Alinamin energy drink. How’s the taste? The usual watered-down cough syrup taste. Honestly, these energy drinks all taste the same to me. Aaah, the things I do for Gojo & Co! xD
How to Buy from Overseas
If you live outside Japan, you can buy the giveaway microfibre cloth wipes by proxy and have it shipped to you. Check out my Buyer’s Guide. As of this writing, Surugaya has the set available.

Notes
- I went to a Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstore which had six of the microfibre cloth designs available. To get the other two I went to a Fitcare Depo drugstore. Matsu-Kiyo doesn’t offer free drink samples like Fitcare, but I had a 15% off coupon via their official app, so the drinks actually cost less at Matsu-Kiyo than Fitcare.
- For the raffle, because the receipt says 1 box without stating the number of bottles inside, you need to write down 「10本」or so next to the item on the receipt, to indicate how many bottles in all you’ve purchased. This sounds crazy as the raffle people should be able to tell how many bottles are inside their boxed products. But it’s the rule so let’s not forget to write down using a pen the actual number of bottles purchased. How troublesome! But all for the special saucers, ahaha!
Thank you so much for reading! Please take a moment to share a thought or two in the comment section below. Your comments give me life and are a real source of encouragement. xoxo – hana

dear heavens indeed who needs all that microfibre cloth they shouldve been hankies instead or washcloth or something lol
IKR! I’d have wanted hankies since I use them everyday. Yeah, even washcloths or mini tea towels would’ve worked better! Who’s splendid idea was it to do glass wipers? xD
alinamin jelly lol howd that taste
Sorry, friend, I actually haven’t touched them yet. Truth is I’ve seven of them but missing Gojo xD Am trying to complete the set first! xD Been to five stores or so but no Gojo! xD He’s really beloved by all xD
so did you enter the raffle did you pour everything into the saucers
Yeah, I entered via LINE! I thought it would be better to do half-online, half-analog, but I was just too lazy to write and mail the postcards xD 80% went to the saucers, and the rest for the glass and thermos bottle.
aw love that ending song too great animation n beat
It made a huge impression on me! You know how much I enjoy historical romances and period novels, and this preference for the past carries over to manga as well. I’m absolutely delighted that I find this 21st century story so fascinating! 😀
