Jujutsu Kaisen Merchandise – Aeon Doublefocus Cotton T-Shirts Product Review

Aeon, one of the largest retail store chains in Japan, has come up with Jujutsu Kaisen t-shirts everyone can afford. There are 10 designs in all, with 8 sold in May and the other two in early June. 

May 29th was the ‘big’ day so my friend and I went early to my nearest Aeon store and got four t-shirts each, to complete all eight available designs! Each costs only JPY 1078 (tax included), so that’s a little less than 10 USD at the current exchange rate. 

(English continues below) 全国のイオン・イオンスタイル380店舗で呪術廻戦Tシャツが2021年5月29日より販売開始だったので当日は朝一最寄りのイオンにgo!「呪術廻戦」× イオンのカジュアルファッションブランド「Doublefocus (ダブルフォーカス)」による「呪術廻戦 ×イオン コラボTシャツ」はとてもお手頃な価格（税込1,078）なので友人と４枚ずつ買って計８種類をゲット。イオン限定デザイン5種を含む全10種類の呪術廻戦Tシャツがラインナップだそうですが、残り２種類は６月からだそうです。朝早くだったのが幸いしたのか並ぶことなくすぐ入手。８枚も買おうとする私たちを見て店員さんが苦笑いで「本当にお好きですね」、と。「大好きです！アニメ見ましたか？」と余談で聞くと見てないようなので「最高に良いアニメです！超おすすめです！」とごり押し（笑）。Tシャツは、男女兼用でお値段相当の薄っぺらい生地でプリントも大変デリケートなベタベタするものですが、デザインは好きです。大事に着ます。夏にぴったりだと思います。よかったら写真をご覧ください↓

Pastel Jujutsu Kaisen x Aeon T-Shirts

Here’s a beige one, a pink one (called ‘light red’), and a blue one with the symbols of the first-year students plus Gojo.

The back part of the beige one is a line saying ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, while the pink one has a plain back but with the right sleeve having the symbols of the first year students plus Gojo. The back of the blue one says ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ in red over the symbols of Nanami and the three second-year students.

White Jujutsu Kaisen x Aeon T-Shirts

Here are the white ones. They’re not white as in bright white, but an off-white shade akin to light cream. I love these ones, my favourite being the one in the middle. It has all the students in their fighting poses! The front design is in the bottom part, while the back carries the names of the students.

The white t-shirt on the right has a plain back. The one with the first-year students front has a matching second-year students design at the back (shown left), while the black-on-white silhouette design that I like best has a back design with ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ overlayed by the names of the students (shown right).

Black Jujutsu Kaisen x Aeon T-Shirts

Finally, we have t-shirts with black fabric. The one on the right has the same design as the white version, while the one on the left has coloured silhouettes of the Tokyo school characters. The black ones have a plain back so nothing more to see here.

Because of their price range, the t-shirts are – as expected – made of a very thin cotton material, the kind geared for summer wear. The prints are the delicate, sticky type, the kind that will easily transfer onto fake leather. You’ll need to be a little extra careful when washing (mesh laundry bag required). But I like the designs so buying them was a no-brainer. Let’s hope the prints can withstand more than a couple of washings.

Availability

The t-shirts were readily available on the 29th of May, 2021, which was their first day on the shelf. I haven’t gone back to the Aeon store after that so I don’t know if they’re selling like hotcakes or not. At this price they’re easy to buy for anyone. 

For those in Japan without a nearby Aeon store, there’s always Aeon Style Online. As of this writing, all eight t-shirts are in stock.

That’s it for the Aeon x Jujutsu Kaisen t-shirts. Will there be a Part 2? I don’t think so, as the other two designs I’m not particularly eager to get. If my friend decides to get them I might take a pic, though 🙂
